State enterprise «DerzhdorNDI» is bases organization of Ministry for Regional Development of scientific and technical work in construction for directions: scientific and technical, research, regulatory-methodology and information design ensuring, building and operation of transport structure, in particular highways, bridges and viaduct.
Institute included to Public register of scientific institution which has government support.
State enterprise «DerzhdorNDI» has license for perform a wide range of design and civil and erection works, certification body, Chief Test Center, a certificate for embedded management system about performing scientific and research work, design, testing and certification in road building, that meet the requirements DSTY ISO9001:2009.
The Institute operates Fund of regulations of UKRAVTODOR and created museum of road branch.
The Institute includes complex regional department in Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions and affiliate «regional scientific and technical centre in Lviv».
The Institute is member of FEHRL – European forum of highways research institutes (decision of the 18th General Asembleyi 11-12 October 2007,s. Oslo, Norway)
Over the years of institute its development were awarded of public prize of URSR in scientific and technical branch, five certificates VDNH of SRSR, 17 certificates VDNH of URSR, 150 medals VDNH of SRSR, about 300 inventions protected by copyright certificate.
The scope of scientific and technical activity of the state enterprise «DerzhdorNDI» cover the whole spectrum of operation and development of road economy of Ukraine from the development of theoretical principles, experimental laboratory and natural research to implement the results of work in the practice of road and bridges building, their maintenance, inspection, repair and reconstruction with development of regulatory and instructional support. The issue of pricing, economics, energy, environment, road safety is heavily emphasized.
